2024 Season Information

The Calgary Bucks Baseball Club is a highly competitive baseball program that fields teams at the 13U, 15U & 18U age groups. Our program is designed to provide players with the highest level of instruction and playing opportunity within the Baseball Alberta League, Western Canada and US tournaments giving our player's the best opportunities available to them, in a professional environment. We remain committed to being the top development program in the province.

The Calgary Bucks bring elite training and experiences to players throughout Alberta as they maximize their potential through preparation, determination, focus, commitment and sportsmanship while developing skills second to none. While winning is great, our goal is to build "winners". Our teams strive to win every game we play, but we teach that our results on the field are a culmination of our daily physical and mental preparations. Our program teaches the skills that create on-field success but also have true application to our athlete’s everyday lives.

ALL PLAYERS MUST BE REGISTERED FOR TRYOUTS PRIOR TO JANUARY 1, 2024 TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A 2024 CALGARY BUCKS TEAM!

18U Program

Led by our GM, Phil Curtis, the Bucks 18U program will field one BAEL (Baseball Alberta Elite League), one AAA team and one AA team for the 2024 season. Phil is joined by a coaching staff that has a tremendous amount of experience both as players as coaches and their goals are to support their players to reach their full potential. Our 18U Program is a fully integrated, year round academy that will provide our players with everything they need to develop and prepare for the next level. 18U program runs from january 2024 to august 2024

Estimated Program Cost $4500-$6000 (Dependent on team placement and finalized tournament/travel schedules. A discount will be given to players enrolled in full year programming)

Competition – Intersquad, Baseball Alberta Games, Various Tournaments and Exhibition Games against the best competition in Western Canada

15U Program

The Calgary Bucks 15U program is led by Coach; Cory Curtis and will field 2 AAA teams and one AA team for the 2024 season.

With a focus on development and playing the game the right way, the program continues to produce strong teams and elite players thanks to a passionate and knowledgeable coaching staff. By blending traditional wisdom with the progressive ideas of the current collegiate, minor, and major league game, our 15U staff has found tremendous success in helping our players reach the next level and preparing them for the jump to 18U.

This approach, along with the commitment of our players, has resulted in us consistently being among the top represented programs in the province at various showcase tournaments such as the Alberta Summer Games, Zone Championships and Rawlings Cup.

13U Program

The Calgary Bucks 13U program is led by Coach; Ian Finlay. The Bucks will field one AAA team and one AA team in the Baseball Alberta League. The Program has consistently produced strong teams every year, and will once again look to be the more competitive teams in the league for the upcoming season.

Our 13U Program is focused on developing the players individually in all areas of the game, as well as teaching them how to carry themselves & play the game the right way. The 13U Baseball Alberta League plays with lead-offs & pick-offs, so these players will truly be building the full foundation of skills and baseball knowledge needed to make the transition to the next level.

Facilities

FOOTHILLS STADIUM

Located in Foothills Athletic Park, historic Foothills Stadium was once the home of professional teams like the Calgary Cannons & the Calgary Vipers. Our athletes are truly playing on hallowed grounds every time they step on the field to compete & train.

SHOULDICE ATHLETIC PARK

Located in the heart of Calgary beside the Bow River, Shouldice Park is are where our 13U & 15U teams call home. The park consists of one game field and multiple practice fields along with many other park amenities.

ABSOLUTE SPORTS CENTRE

The Calgary Bucks Baseball Program has joined forces with Absolute Sports in Calgary, AB. Our players get unlimited use of the Stadium Location - indoor facility during their training months. With batting cages, pitching lanes, field areas and a weight room available for our players at all times, we believe our players have a huge advantage over other programs and additional opportunities to push their training to the next level.

Players will also have opportunity to train at the brand new Absolute Sports - Airport Location.
